Structured Literacy Professional Learning for Hawaii Educators and Leaders

AIM Institute is an approved vendor for the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education supporting Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for Reading and a Structured Approach to Literacy.

AIM’s professional learning helps schools and complex areas prepare for required dyslexia-sensitive screening for K-3 students and the implementation of structured literacy instruction beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Our work supports both initial training and the sustained implementation needed for long-term impact.

Why Hawaii Partners with AIM

AIM Institute is a national leader in literacy professional learning, supporting educators and leaders across the country with training grounded in decades of reading research.

Our approach is:

  • Explicit, systematic, and research-driven
  • Aligned with IDA standards and the science of reading
  • Designed to support implementation at scale, not just awareness
  • Flexible and responsive to local context and priorities

AIM partners with schools and systems to move from training to practice, and to sustain that work over time.
