AIM Pathways training options range in price from just $19.99 for a one-hour Essentials lesson to $750 for Comprehensive Learning courses like our IDA-accredited Pathways to Proficient Reading Course.

At this time, AIM Institute does not offer payment plans, scholarships, or financial aid for professional learning. AIM Institute accepts payment via credit card, check, PO, or Apple Pay for phone purchases.

Virtual Community of Practice sessions, or VCoPs, are live virtual sessions via Zoom where participants meet together in groups of 15-30 with an AIM-trained facilitator to discuss the content and implementation of content more in depth.

It is well researched (Lave & Wenger, 1991; Wenger, 2014) that a Community of Practice (CoP) is a powerful tool for extending the coaching function that helps educators actually apply the skills learned through professional training opportunities in their classrooms. Furthermore, when a CoP is facilitated and designed well, it serves as an effective coaching tool by deepening evidence-based knowledge and practice through readings, real-time scenarios including case studies and discussions, problem solving, coaching, and sharing experiences across membership.

YES!

AIM offers many courses including our Essentials and Skill Builders that are fully self-paced and can be completed asynchronously. A hallmark of our Comprehensive Learning courses is our Virtual Community of Practice (VCoP) sessions led by a trained AIM facilitator. These sessions offer engaging practice opportunities and collaboration with other participants.

We recognize that attending  synchronous VCoP sessions can be a challenge if you are located outside of the United States time zones and are pleased to share that we can now provide access to recorded VCoP sessions for any international educators taking our two introductory AIM Pathways courses: Pathways to Proficient Reading and Pathways to Proficient Writing.

Registering is easy! Choose a course and pacing timeline that works for you and enter your country as required when you register. When you receive your initial email from your course facilitator, reply to let them know where you are from so they can direct you to the recorded Virtual Community of Practice sessions which you will view on your own time.

Providing education students and teachers access to courses grounded in the science of reading is critical to improving reading outcomes for all students. AIM is pleased to collaborate with Arcadia University in Philadelphia, PA to offer the opportunity to receive 3 Graduate Credits for successful completion of AIM Pathways courses with an 83% or higher average grade.

Graduate credits are available for the following Comprehensive Learning courses:

• Pathways to Proficient Reading or Pathways to Proficient Reading: Secondary
• Pathways to Literacy Leadership
• Pathways to Proficient Writing
• Pathways to Structured Literacy Course
• Pathways to Structured Literacy Practicum

What grade do I need to qualify for graduate credit?
A minimum average grade of 83% is required to apply for graduate credit.

How is my course grade calculated?
Your grade is based on:

• Post-Knowledge Inventory Assessment: 20%
• End-of-Section Quizzes: 80%

Is there anything else I should know before applying?
Yes — please check with your school district or degree-granting university to confirm their policies on reimbursement or transfer of credit grade requirements.

Note: Delaware State University does not accept this graduate transfer.

Register for Your Comprehensive Learning Course Today

In addition to completing AIM Pathways courses for credits, individuals interested in pursuing literacy instruction further can also complete Arcadia's Literacy Instruction Certificate, a 15-credit online program with all courses part of programs accredited by the International Dyslexia Association.

This online certificate program includes:

Students complete three of the following online courses through AIM and transcripted through Arcadia:

• ED652: Pathways to Proficient Reading (3 credits)

• ED652A: Pathways to Structured Literacy (3 credits)

• ED652B: Pathways to Structured Literacy Lab (3 credits)

• ED652C: Pathways to Proficient Writing (3 credits)

Then, students will be asked to apply to the Graduate Certificate Program through the traditional admissions process. Once accepted, they will each successfully complete two (2) of the following three online courses to complete their Graduate Certificate:

• ED563: Seminar in Reading (3 credits)

• ED608: Literature for Children and Youth (3 credits)

• ED623: Multilingual/Multicultural Assessment (3 credits)

Your registration for all AIM and Wilson courses is not confirmed until payment has been received.

Payment can be made online by secure credit card transaction. Due to limited space, your place can only be guaranteed once payment or P.O. Number is received.After filling out the registration form, you will have the option of paying by credit card.

Pre-registration with AIM Institute is required for all training courses. Course registrations are refundable up to 21 days prior to the access / start date of the course, less a $25 processing fee.

Cancellations less than 21 days prior to the access / start date of the course will be refunded at 50% of tuition rate.

Refunds will not be available if:

• the software license has been activated by using the enrollment link to the AIM Pathways platform;
• a request to cancel is received less than 2 business days before the access/start date of the course;
• or if the access / start date for your course has passed, even if the software license has not yet been activated.

While AIM Institute makes every effort to provide the training sessions on the dates as advertised, they are subject to change without notice. AIM Institute reserves the right to cancel or change a training session due to low enrollment or reasons beyond our control. We will attempt to notify affected registrants to reduce any inconvenience. AIM Institute is not liable for any expenses incurred due to cancellation.
