Dr. Elaine Cheesman

Dr. Elaine Cheesman is an Associate Professor of Special Education at University of Colorado, Colorado springs. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in 2004. Elaine received her training as a Qualified Instructor of Academic Language Therapy at Teacher's College, Columbia University. Her primary research interests are the preparation of teachers in evidence-based reading and writing instruction and using technology to improve student learning. She is a frequent presenter at conferences and currently authors an iPad Chat for the International Dyslexia Association. Her website, My Reading-Writing Help, is a valuable resource for educators and parents.
