Dyslexia, Language, and Learning to Read
Renowned dyslexia researcher and author Dr. Maggie Snowling joined us to kick off Dyslexia Awareness Month on October 2nd with a literacy webinar focused on dyslexia and learning to read.
Consider the Definition of Dyslexia
Dr. Hugh Catts joined AIM in July for a webinar to discuss the definition of dyslexia. He discussed this timely topic and shared literacy research including: recognizing the severity and persistence of word-reading, decoding, and spelling difficulties, acknowledging the multifactorial causal basis of dyslexia, clarifying exclusionary factors, and highlighting secondary academic and biophysical consequences associated with dyslexia.
