Fact: Students cannot benefit from interventions they never experience. Despite the well-meaning intentions of educators, access to best practices/programs, and supportive leadership, student outcomes are not consistently improving across academic, behavioral and social domains. Educators invest countless hours, resources, and funds, but grow frustrated not knowing why these efforts aren’t achieving the promised or intended results. WHY? A key reason is that for decades focus has been on the development or research behind educational best practices, but a huge gap remained for how to actually put “it” into place in your classrooms, schools, and districts.
The solution to closing that gap comes from an emerging field named Implementation Science. Using Implementation Science best practices, tools, and strategies, you and your team will have the opportunity to sustain the key practices in your organization and systematically work to align systems that support teachers. WHY? So that you will see more of your students achieve the positive results you expected.
Dyslexia: What Educators (and Parents) Need to Know
This two-hour interactive session is designed to help educators understand firsthand the reading and writing challenges often experienced by students with dyslexia in their classroom. These students will not “catch up” without direct explicit interventions and evidence based supports. Educators need to know what to look for and how to differentiate instruction so they can support these students in a timely manner.
