WILSON READING SYSTEM® (WRS) LEVEL II CERTIFICATION
This advanced coursework provides in-depth strategies to implement multisensory structured language instruction successfully in group settings and advanced levels of decoding and encoding.
There are 2 separate tracks to obtain WRS Level II certification which include an in-person workshop, an online course through Wilson Language Training® and two practicums. (All 4 parts must be completed to earn Level II Certification) One track focuses on how to implement multisensory structured language instruction successfully in group settings and the other track prepares you to work with individuals at advanced levels of decoding and encoding (WRS Steps 7-12). WRS Group Mastery Practicum Upcoming Sessions
Prerequisites:
- WRS Level 1 Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
- Completion of or enrollment in WRS Advanced Strategies for MSL Group Instruction Course
Course Details:
- 75 (minimum) practicum instruction hours
- 10 hours of required reading (typically completed in one school year)
- WRS 4th edition materials required.
This course offers 90 CEU credit hours for PA Act 48

WRS Steps 7-12 Practicum - NEW 4TH EDITION Upcoming Sessions
This practicum is provided by AIM Institute (WRS 4th edition materials will be used). Participant must have an eligible student who has completed WRS Steps 1-6, 3rd or 4th Edition. This course offers 90 CEU credit hours for PA Act 48.
Prerequisites:
- WRS Level 1 Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
- WRS Advanced Word Study Online Courses (Steps 7-12) - This online course is provided by Wilson Language Training and must be taken prior to or simultaneously with the practicum. You must register directly through Wilson Language Training for the online course only which has a separate cost of $1250. This online course provides instruction in advanced concepts of decoding and spelling to effectively use multisensory techniques to teach more complicated rules of the English language. This course offers 55 CEU credit hours for PA Act 48.
