AIM Institute for Learning & Research

AIM Institute received a Reimagine Education Gold Award in the Science of Learning category at the December 2020 conference for our AIM Pathways digital teacher training platform. We are honored that our evidence-based program has received this important recognition and look forward to sharing more results from our Pathways participants as they take the science of reading into classrooms and schools.

Get Started on Your Strategic Literacy Plan

The Challenge

Professional development sparks change. But without the right systems, even the best literacy training can fade before it becomes daily practice.

Research shows that sustainable impact isn’t just about knowing what works, it’s about creating the conditions that make it work.

That’s where the science of implementation comes in.

AIM Implementation Blueprint

Created in collaboration with Dr. Tiffany Hogan, a leading researcher in oral and written language development, AIM's Implementation Blueprint brings the power of implementation science directly to education systems. Our team supports schools with step-by-step strategic planning that leverages human-centered design, resulting in a comprehensive plan that builds capacity, buy-in, and cohesion across your system.

The Process

AIM partners with district leaders in real time—through focused collaboration, ongoing support, and a personalized implementation model that helps move strategic plans from theory to everyday practice.

The Outcomes

Districts partnering with AIM receive:

  • Targeted support in Curriculum and Instruction, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports
  • A personalized Structured Literacy Strategic Plan (after the first year)
  • Usability indicators to identify barriers and assess progress
  • A clearer path to improved student outcomes

"Your goal, as the leader, is to create conditions that supports educators' use of evidence. Take the time you need to implement well, and that will actually get you faster improved [student] outcomes."

Let's Talk Sustainable Literacy

Leaders who successfully completed Pathways to Literacy Leadership can take their knowledge and convert it to a systems change plan with support from experts at AIM through our new Implementation Blueprint service. Together, leaders will develop the plan and receive ongoing support in the implementation of all things structured literacy in their schools and districts. If you are interested, please reach out to our Growth and Impact Team to learn more. It is important to note that the majority of our clients will begin Implementation Blueprint in the 2026-2027 school year, but let's start the conversation now.
