ILM Core Component 4 - Comprehension

This profile reflects the ELA Comprehension component of the AIM Integrated Literacy Model. These components align with the language and cognitive processes/skills represented in Scarborough’s Reading Rope, the literature of comprehension (e.g., Oakhill, Cain & Elbro, 2013), AIM’s Comprehension Framework (Hennessey 2013) and the International Dyslexia Association’s Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading (2010) specific to structured language teaching for text comprehension. The practice profile tool and process was created by Michelle Duda of Implementation Scientists LLC. This component of the AIM Model includes the following sub-components:

5. Text Structures
