
AIM Pathways for Oklahoma
AIM Pathways to Proficient Reading Micro-Credential Course
Oklahoma State Department of Education's Office of Special Education has partnered with AIM Institute to provide comprehensive literacy training to K-12 educators working with students with dyslexia as required by state legislation. This state-funded, online Pathways to Proficient Reading Micro-Credential course is IDA-accredited and is eligible of graduate credits. The course is also eligible for a $2,000 stipend and dyslexia micro-credential badge upon successful completion.
AIM Pathways coursework includes community of practice sessions with expert AIM facilitators and is designed for educators who are committed to learning about the connection between reading research, theoretical models such as the Simple View of Reading and Scarborough’s Reading Rope, and best practices for language and literacy instruction in the classroom within an MTSS. Participating educators and administrators will also learn to identify dyslexia indicators and learn effective classroom instruction to meet the needs of all students including those with dyslexia. 2025-2026 Course Kick Offs Meetings for Pathways to Proficient Reading
Join the Oklahoma Office of Special Education Micro-Credential Enrollment Meetings
At the Office of Special Education's kick-off meetings, participants will learn how to enroll in the fully state-funded AIM Pathways to Proficient Reading course and receive their course materials at this meeting. Please sign up for only one date and one session. There are two sessions per day to accommodate morning and afternoon availability.

NOTE: You must either be a certified general education teacher, a certified special education teacher, a reading specialist, a Title 1 Reading teacher, a speech-language pathologist, or another certified position teaching reading to attend the AIM Institute course. There will be no online AIM kick-off meetings. Participants will receive additional instructions and course materials at the AIM kick-off session.

The Oklahoma Department of Education includes AIM Pathways training courses on its list of approved trainings for purchase that can be used to fulfill the 10% PD requirement under the Strong Readers Act.
