AIM Pathways for Oklahoma CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Oklahoma City Public Schools have approved AIM Institute for Learning & Research's comprehensive literacy courses for professional development in district schools. Courses include IDA-accredited training in literacy targeted specifically for secondary educators including content-area teachers, literacy training for school leaders to support implementation of structured literacy in classrooms, as well as a course created in collaboration with researcher Dr. Elsa Cárdenas-Hagan focused on supporting English learners in all classrooms that is designed for educators who have already completed training such as the training provided in the Oklahoma Science of Reading Academies.
As you plan for professional learning for the 2024-2025 school year, start a conversation with AIM about your literacy training needs for your team from paraeducators to principals.
AIM Pathways coursework includes community of practice sessions with expert AIM facilitators and is designed for educators who are committed to learning about the connection between reading research, theoretical models such as the Simple View of Reading and Scarborough’s Reading Rope, and best practices for language and literacy instruction in the classroom within an MTSS.
