About AIM Pathways
The AIM Institute for Learning & Research is an Multiple Task Award Contract (MTAC)-approved vendor providing foundational literacy professional learning training to New York educators.
AIM Pathways comprehensive courses help New York educators meet the training goals of NYC Reads and provide educators and leaders the opportunity to gain knowledge and acquire tools to put the science of reading to work in your classroom and schools.
Courses Include:
- Pathways to Proficient Reading - For educators and reading specialists looking to incorporate the Science of Reading into classroom practice. IDA Accredited.
- NEW - Pathways to Proficient Reading: Secondary - Comprehensive learning in our IDA-accredited course with tools, training and resources specifically designed for content area teachers and middle and high school educators.
- Pathways to Proficient Writing - For educators interested in learning effective instructional writing practices that will benefit all students.
- Pathways to Literacy Leadership - For education leaders and administrators interested in best practices in reading instruction and seeking to introduce a culture of literacy to their school or district.
- Pathways to Structured Literacy- Perfect for educators interested in furthering their knowledge and skills in the science of reading with a course based on Orton-Gillingham instruction. IDA Accredited. (Prerequisite - Pathways to Proficient Reading)
- NEW - Specialized Reading Knowledge: English Learners - A supplemental course created in collaboration with researcher Dr. Elsa Cárdenas-Hagan to support advanced learning for classroom teachers to support English learners in classroom literacy instruction. (Prerequisite - Pathways to Proficient Reading our Steps to Literacy Foundational Skills II Bundle)
Connect with AIM on supporting the training efforts of NYC Reads with foundational reading courses for educators from K-12th that provide a bridge to practice for all educators to support student learners including content area teachers in middle and high school classrooms and early child hood instructors or paraeducators.
